This is our go to spot for Sunday lunch. The food is amazing and at a great price. (I've paid more for food that doesn't taste or look as good as the 3 chimneys). If you are think of going get it booked up early ypu won't be disappointed
My wife and I booked the carvery on Sunday based on us staying in the hotel stating it was the previous reviews stating it was the best carvery they had ever tried and how they had been returning just for the carvery.Hands down the worst carvery we have ever had.The Turkey was marinated in something neither of us could place and then smoked within an inch of being edible. This, even when removed, completly overpowered the taste of the meat.The stuffing was so dry it crumbled on the fork and the yorkshire puding was flat as a pankcake and as hard as a biscuit.There was only potato and carrot for selection. There were two others, however we couldn't place what vegetables made up the mix but it looked like cat sick. Only my wife was brave enough to place it on her plate and was able to confirm it tasted as bad as it looked.Neither of us managed more than 4 oe five forks before pushing our plates away.1 star for the carvery.The other star is for the food my daughter and her friend ordered which was actually very nice, and the staff were friendly enough.
Ordered the Beat. Frist off, don't say American style cole slaw when it's nothing close to it. ( Yes, I am American).American Cole slaw is red cabbage white cabbage mayo 4tbsp 2 tbsp sugar 2 tbsp vinegar ( aka spirit vinegar) there's no pickle juice in it. Wasn't edible.The brisket was so tough that you couldn't even chew it. The ribs and the chicken were pretty good.
I've been coming here with my family since it opened and we've never had a bad meal. We usually come for the carvery as it's delicious. The best carvery I've ever tasted. Would definitely recommend this place.
Great carvery. Top quality food and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff and a clean, modern,spacious and unpretentious setting. Highly recommended.
Massive thanks to all the staff at the Three Chimneys for such a pleasant dining experience. The carvery is delicious with some very original flavour combinations, and the staff are always friendly and upbeat even when the restaurant is absolutely packed! Warm and professional service, I felt very welcome and would highly recommend this place.
Not the best experience ever in general. The restaurant is big and unorganized. It lacks atmosphere and attention to detailThe service was somewhat of a shambles, not bad or rude but unprofessionalThe food was, for the most part passable. 1 of the starters was undercooked, whilst the other was perfectly fine. The mains were plentiful and tasty, even if some where colder than you would likeThis place doesn't FEEL like a restaurant, more like a cafe/social club. Shame really as it has potential
10 of us went for dinner for a birthday first chips were cold and soggy so Sent 4 portions back, rest of the food came out a pulled pork brisket combo half of brisket left and 75% of pulled pork.Sharing meal brisket unedible chicken dry ribs tough and fatty and pulled pork soggy but at last crispy chips.Had to pay up front so when we asked the manager to look at the bill and offer a refund he refused and just said he would not not charge us for £30 of drinks and said the food was acceptable even after admitting sometimes these things happen.Shocking place and attitude avoid if you want a decent meal
